TIMESTULUNGAGUNG, BANYUWANGI – As the biggest coffee producer in Indonesia with hundred acres area of coffee farm Banyuwangi could be taken to another level i.e as an agrotourism.

This statement was proposed by The Chief of Asosiasi Sales Travel Indonesia (ASATI), M Syukri Mahmud SE at the Jambore Kopi Banyuwangi 2019.

"Banyuwangi has a huge tourism potential especially for the coffee farm. But we need to prepare all the coffee farm owner for this," he said on Sunday (8/12/2019).

Still according to him, the farmer hospitality and all the public facilities must be managed as interesting as could be in order to attract visitors and ease all the customers who would like to visit the place.

He also stated that this will help to raise the market value of the coffee whether in local or international scale. "With the beauty of the scenery around, the cool climate, and coffee tasting or may be watching the coffee being roasted or processed will be one interesting attraction that is worth to see.

The local community outside of the coffee farm could also join themself by providing some healthy and nutritious food around the agrotourism. It will surely could give benefits to the local community including the government.

The Jambore Kopi  (Coffee Meeting) Banyuwangi was also attended by Bappepti Kemendag, General Director of Puskud JATIM, CEO Times Indonesia, Khoirul Anwar, The Head of PPK Kosgoro, and a representative of Department of Agriculture Banyuwangi.
